Basically, having an engaged list of subscribers who know, like and trust you is like having your own private source of traffic. And you can send that traffic wherever you choose. Sending out regular promotions for offers which are valuable and relevant to your email list is a solid way to make reliable money online.

Lead Magnets And Ethical Bribes
All right, so the number one way that you can build an email list is actually creating an opt-in, a lead magnet, or a freebie. I think that those three words are interchangeable, but the idea is that you’re giving away something for free in exchange for someone else to give them your email.
If a stranger came up to you and asked you for your email, or even your phone number, you probably wouldn’t give it to them.
However, if that stranger went up to you and said, “Hey, if you give me your email, I’ll give you a free gift,” you’d probably consider it.
So, keep that in mind when you’re collecting emails. You want to make sure that your offer, or your lead magnet, or your freebie, is juicy enough for them to want to exchange emails with you.
What Kind Of Offer To Use?
To help you out a bit and give you some inspiration, your opt-in or a lead magnet can be in the form of a PDF guide. It could be in the form of free video training. Or, it can also be a free audio file.
If you are not sure what to write, or just pushed for time, you could use a good quality PLR product.
Regardless of what type of format you want your lead magnet to be in, you need to make sure that what you’re creating is actually what your audience wants.
It needs to be a no brainer freebie that your audience will absolutely want to download and will want to get in exchange for giving you their email.
Now, once you’ve created your freebie or your lead magnet, or your opt-in, or whatever you want to call it, the next thing that you need to do is to drive visitors to the landing page where they can sign up to receive their free gift.

Driving Traffic To Your Landing Page
For example, you can run Facebook ads, you can put your freebie in a Facebook group. You can even put your freebie just on your Facebook page, doesn’t even have to be ads or groups.
Another way is also putting it on your website, making it really prominent in the header section of your website or even the footer section of your website. That way, when people come to read your content, they will also see your lead magnet.

You could also put a link in your bio section on Instagram and encourage visitors to follow the link after coming to view your posts.
There are many, many ways to drive traffic to your opt-in page – paid, or free – so that you can quickly build a very profitable email list.
Delivering Your Offers and Promotions
Which brings me to my next step. And that is you need to have email marketing software. Now, the most common email marketing software that a lot of people use, especially beginners who are on a budget, is Aweber.
But just know that there are other great email marketing software platforms out there like GetResponse, Active Campaign, ClickFunnels, Kajabi.
There are so many different pieces of software out there, so again I really trust you to do your due diligence to make sure that you’re purchasing the one that is best for you, and that will fit your goals the best.
